The agent of young Bologna midfielder Amadou Diawara has claimed that Chelsea hold a strong interest in signing the player, according to Italian publication TuttoMercatoWeb.
Reports emerged earlier in the week claiming that the starlet had agreed a deal in principle to join The Blues in January, as Jose Mourinho looks to turn around his sides current poor form.
However, though the reports of a deal have been hasty, the player’s agent, Robert Visan, has confirmed that Chelsea are definitely interested in his client, before going on to insist his loyalty lies with the Serie A side.
“There is a strong interest of Chelsea,” Visan said.
“I work with Pini Zahavi, who everyone knows, but that does not mean that will he will go to Chelsea.
“Also the likes of Manchester City, Tottenham and Juventus follow him [but] with them I never speak of offers, only football.
“But now, I repeat, he is indebted to Bologna.”
