Jesus Navas Juventus: Manchester City star targeted for January transfer

In the absence of Sergio Aguero and David Silva, Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini has had to be extremely creative with how he moves around midfielders, and Jesus Navas has been one of the many gems forged under the pressure of near-constant schematic change. With Navas still in his prime, Juventus are hoping to make a move for him in January.

According to Estadio Deportivo, Juventus are considering the 29-year-old Navas in place of Paris Saint-Germain star Ezequiel Lavezzi as a target in the January transfer window. Navas has made eight Premier League starts this season even after the team spent over €90 million to acquire Raheem Sterling and Kevin De Bruyne.

Navas has made at least 30 league appearances in seven of his last eight seasons between Man City and his former club Sevilla. In that span he has recorded 34 goals and averaged more than 10 assists per season.

The Metro reported that Navas’s current contract with Man City runs through 2017.
