Chelsea & Liverpool stars set to feature in international despite ailments; Mourinho & Klopp won’t be happy

Belgium coach Marc Wilmots has insisted that Eden Hazard and Christian Benteke will feature against Spain despite their fitness concerns.

In news that will not be welcome at Anfield or Stamford Bridge, the Red Devils coach has revealed that he will use both players in his side’s international friendly on Tuesday evening.

Hazard has been out of training due to a sickness, and had previously been a doubt for the fixture.

However, despite the playmaker being confined to his room, Wilmots has insisted that Hazard has recovered and will play a part against La Roja.

“Eden Hazard woke up with a big smile. He slept well and felt much better and is going to train and should play,” Wilmots said, as per Goal.

“[Laurent] Depoitre is out. [Christian] Benteke will play 60 minutes and another will play the last half hour.”

Mourinho—who has overseen a series of sub-par performances by the attacking midfielder during Chelsea’s struggles this term—will surely be furious that his star man is being risked.

Klopp may also have a gripe that his frontman—who missed a month of action earlier in the season due to injury—is being risked in a friendly contest.
