Ancelotti Premier League: Five clubs that should SERIOUSLY considering appointing ex-Chelsea/Real Madrid coach

Carlo Ancelotti Arsenal rumours surface again amid fresh Arsene Wenger doubt

With trophies and a winning record from each of his last five managed clubs since 1999, Carlo Ancelotti is undoubtedly the top free agent manager available in Europe.

The three-time Champions League winning manager led Chelsea to the Premier League and FA Cup titles in the 2009-10 season after winning the FA Community Shield in 2009, but his failure to build on his own success led to his ousting.

Solid seasons with Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid followed, as did a Ligue 1 title and an incredible 2014 campaign in Spain. In the 2013-14 season he led the club to the Champions League, UEFA Super Cup, Club World Cup and the Copa Del Ray.

Needless to say, Ancelotti has the experience and the kind of winning pedigree that clubs of all sizes crave.

Here is a look at five of the clubs that should seriously consider hiring Carlo Ancelotti:

Arsenal

If Arsene Wenger can’t win the title this year with Chelsea in tatters and Man City looking like the only other legitimate contender, ownership may want a major shakeup.

Chelsea

If Roman Abramovich wants to wash his hands of Jose Mourinho’s chaos and bring stability to the club, then he would be well-served to give Ancelotti a big bag of cash and personnel control as well.

Everton

There’s no reason the sixth highest scoring club in the league should be in the middle of the table with all of the star power on their roster. A weak finish to the season would spell trouble for Roberto Martinez.

Manchester City

Should Manuel Pellegrini fall short of winning the Premier League, his bosses may want to go in another direction.

Manchester United

Who better to take over for Louis van Gaal at Old Trafford than the man who edged the club out of the Premier League title in the 2009-10 season?
