With Arsenal and Tottenham going head to head on Sunday, we’ve decided to take a closer look at the squads to see who would dominate in our North London combined XI.
Based entirely on this season’s form, some of the places in the side are nailed on certainties, while others are more open for debate.
Scroll below to see who we’ve picked.
GK: Petr Cech – Arsenal
Despite a wobbly debut, the 33-year-old has gone on to prove just what a talent he still is as a Premier League goalkeeper.
RB: Hector Bellerin – Arsenal
Arguably the best right-back in the Premier League right now and is a clear cut above Kyle Walker, who has endured a difficult 18 months.
CB: Laurent Koscielny – Arsenal
The Frenchman is one of the most competent central defenders in the country, and Arsenal are significantly poorer when he’s not in the side.
CB: Toby Alderweireld – Spurs
The Belgian has settled in well at White Hart Lane this season, and his performances have surpassed that of Jan Vertonghen.
LB: Nacho Monreal – Arsenal
He has rediscovered his form to show exactly why the club are so desperate to keep hold of him.
CM: Francis Coquelin – Arsenal
Just keeps proving his worth to the side and is now a key lynchpin in the Arsenal squad.
CM: Santi Cazorla – Arsenal
Now the heartbeat of the Gunners side and is revelling in his new deep lying playmaker role.
AML: Alexis Sanchez – Arsenal
Following a slow start to the season, he has once again shown why he’s one of the best forwards in the top flight.
AMR: Christian Eriksen – Spurs
A key creative force for Spurs and quite possibly the best free kick taker in the Premier League.
AMC: Mesut Ozil – Arsenal
The Germany star is finally beginning to show exactly why he was brought to the club, and his influence this term has been crucial to their rise up the table.
ST: Harry Kane – Spurs
Now getting back to his best following a dry spell at the start of the season.
Arsenal: 8
Spurs: 3
