Chelsea legend Didier Drogba has been linked to a surprise return to European football, only months after he left the continent to move to Major League Soccer.
The legendary Ivorian frontman moved back to Chelsea following his stint in Turkey with Galatasaray and won the league at Stamford Bridge before finally calling time on his second sojourn in West London.
He moved to MLS side Montreal Impact, where he has wasted little time in making a big splash and reaffirming his enduring class.
The powerful striker has scored 12 goals in 13 games for the Canadian side, and has proved that he still remains a forward capable of influencing contests on a regular basis.
As such, he has been linked with a move back to Europe, with Serie A side Bologna understood to be keen on bringing the Ivorian to Italy according to the Mirror.
Bologna are owned by Joey Saputo, who also owns the Impact, and it is unlikely that a switch during the States’ offseason would pose too many problems for the 37-year-old.
