GK: Jack Butland (Stoke City)
A fine young goalkeeper doing well since replacing Asmir Begovic as Stoke number one, Jack Butland deservedly makes our Premier League team of the season.
DR: Hector Bellerin (Arsenal)
A young right-back who continues to improve, Arsenal starlet Hector Bellerin has been terrific again so far, particularly in this weekend’s win over Manchester United.
DL: Aleksandar Kolarov (Manchester City)
One of the best left-backs in Europe at his best, Aleksandar Kolarov has been hugely improved for Manchester City this season and has certainly earned his spot in this XI.
DC: Chris Smalling (Manchester United)
A surprise performer, Chris Smalling has become one of Manchester United’s most important players in recent times and is certainly one of the best defenders in the country right now.
DC: Vincent Kompany (Manchester City)
Back to his best after a dip in form last term, Vincent Kompany has been immense for Manchester City and key to their fast start in the Premier League.
MC: Yaya Toure (Manchester City)
World class for City so far, Yaya Toure is another key member of Manuel Pellegrini’s title favourites, scoring one goal and claiming four assists so far.
MC: Ross Barkley (Everton)
Another exciting young player in our Premier League team of the season, Everton midfielder Ross Barkley has been superb so far this year, looking back to his very best.
AMR: Alexis Sanchez (Arsenal)
Despite a slow start, Alexis Sanchez now has an excellent record of five goals in his last two league matches, and his constant threat and quality sees him make our Premier League team of the season so far.
AML: Riyad Mahrez (Leicester City)
Not a big name, but Riyad Mahrez has attracted interest from Arsenal and Barcelona after his incredible start for Leicester City, with five goals and three assists already.
AMC: David Silva (Manchester City)
Always a contender for Premier League team of the season, David Silva is an early contender for best player after some magical work in Manchester City’s midfield.
FC: Jamie Vardy (Leicester City)
Top scorer so far, Jamie Vardy is another surprise Leicester star to make the line up, having netted seven times in his first eight games, as well as weighing in with one assist.
