Chelsea transfers: 3 in, 3 out as Blues to axe experienced trio to help sign Brahimi, Man Utd target & Real Madrid star

Chelsea transfers – 3 in, 3 out in possible January transfer window changes.

It could be a busy January of Chelsea transfers, with speculation already growing that the Blues will make major changes to their squad at the next opportunity.

It was a difficult summer for the Premier League champions, whose form at the start of the season has been terrible, with only two wins from their opening eight games.

It seems like Chelsea transfers will be necessary to improve the team’s chances of a top four finish, with the Blues being tipped to make these changes as they look to replace struggling members of their squad:

Out – John Obi Mikel

No longer trusted in the Chelsea first-team, John Obi Mikel has been linked several times with an exit from Stamford Bridge and could surely be one of the first to be offloaded this January.

In – Yacine Brahimi (Porto)

With new bodies in midfield necessary, it is thought that Chelsea are chasing the signing of Porto star Yacine Brahimi after his superb recent form, and he’d be a cheap alternative to Paul Pogba.

Out – John Terry

No longer first choice at Chelsea after a poor start for the Blues this season, John Terry has been linked with Fenerbahce and seems likely to move on after falling out with Jose Mourinho.

In – John Stones (Everton)

A £40m target for Chelsea during the summer, Everton defender John Stones is likely to be on the club’s radar again this winter as they desperately need to tighten up at the back.

Out – Branislav Ivanovic

Previously one of Chelsea’s most important players, Branislav Ivanovic is now a liability after a series of poor individual performances this season and could well leave towards the end of his contract.

In – Daniel Carvajal (Real Madrid)

A fine signing at right-back, Daniel Carvajal has done well for Real Madrid but is still uncertain over his future due to the summer arrival of Danilo, with Chelsea now rumoured to be ready to move for the Spaniard.
