Gunners step up interest in impressive youngster.
Arsenal are reportedly set to make a £13m offer to sign Juventus defender Daniele Rugani in the January transfer window, moving ahead of Chelsea in the race for his signature.
The 21-year-old has previously been compared with Italian legend Alessandro Nesta, showing himself to be one of the finest young centre-backs in the European game at the moment.
Arsenal could do with improving in that area after an unconvincing start to the season, with injuries keeping the likes of Laurent Koscielny and Per Mertesacker out of most of their games so far.
