Six Galacticos sure to be on Real’s wish-list if Ronaldo leaves!
Real Madrid are reportedly asking for a phenomenal £110m to sell Cristiano Ronaldo to Manchester United or Paris Saint-Germain next summer, and it wouldn’t be surprising if the latter stumped up that much to sign him.
With that in mind, Real will have a big job on their hands trying to appease the hostile Bernabeu fans by bringing in some new big names. There aren’t many bigger than Ronaldo, but here are six potential Galacticos the Spanish giants are sure to try for…
1) Eden Hazard (Chelsea)
The best player in the Premier League last season, Eden Hazard has been linked with Real Madrid in the past and looks like a player capable of filling Cristiano Ronaldo’s boots in the future. The Chelsea forward has superb skill, technique and an eye for goal, plus the flair and cockiness required to pull on a Real Madrid shirt and cope with the pressure of a big price tag.

2) David de Gea (Manchester United)
Linked with Real Madrid all summer, it later emerged that David de Gea’s proposed move to the Bernabeu fell through on deadline day, though the Manchester United goalkeeper is sure to remain firmly on the Spaniards’ radar. With a rumoured release clause of around £30m, the 24-year-old will likely end up back in Spain eventually.
3) Marco Reus (Borussia Dortmund)
Another of the very best forwards in the world, Borussia Dortmund star Marco Reus has been linked with Real and other big clubs many times, and would likely cost around £50m. A decent alternative to Hazard, the German’s pace, skill and eye for goal could similarly go some way to replacing Ronaldo’s influence.
4) Thomas Muller (Bayern Munich)
A lethal goalscorer and big-game player, Bayern Munich striker Thomas Muller is another marquee signing who’d surely do the business for Real Madrid. The German international is another who could go down as one of the modern greats if he carries on like this, and there’s no question he’d be a perfect fit at the Bernabeu.
5) Paul Pogba (Juventus)
Widely regarded as the world’s best young player, Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba would be a terrific signing for Real Madrid, though they’d face competition from almost every big club on the planet for his signature. Still, £110m pocketed from Ronaldo’s sale could go some way to paying the £70-80m needed to land the French international.
6) Sergio Aguero (Manchester City)
A world class goalscorer, Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero could do a job up front for Real Madrid and help them replace Ronaldo’s amazing numbers in terms of finding the back of the net. The Argentine has been linked with the Spanish giants before, though he has also insisted he is happy with life at the Etihad Stadium.
