Should Wenger go after poor start to the season?
Arsenal fans are losing patience with Arsene Wenger yet again after a disappointing start to the season has predictably followed a poor effort in the transfer market during the summer.
Having elected only to sign Petr Cech in goal, the Gunners have been unconvincing in the Premier League, and last night got off to a losing start in the Champions League with a 2-1 defeat at Dinamo Zagreb.
Wenger’s record in Europe is poor, and many fans remain unconvinced by the Frenchman as the right man for the Arsenal job anymore, so here’s a look at five possible replacements that could take charge at the Emirates Stadium…
1) Jurgen Klopp (Unattached)
Although he reportedly wants the Bayern Munich job, former Borussia Dortmund boss Jurgen Klopp would be a perfect fit at Arsenal. The German tactician has been linked with the Gunners in the past, and gets his teams playing the kind of attacking football that would go down well at the Emirates Stadium.

2) Roberto Martinez (Everton)
Another well known name who has been linked with Arsenal in the past, Everton manager Roberto Martinez has had a hugely impressive Premier League career so far, showing he can get his sides playing attractive football without having a great deal of money to spend, as is seemingly the case with Arsenal at the moment.
3) Carlo Ancelotti (Unattached)
Currently without a club, Arsenal could do brilliantly to pounce for former Chelsea and Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti. The Italian is proven at the top level with major trophies in Italy, England, France and Spain. He won the double in his first season at Stamford Bridge, and has lifted the Champions League trophy three times in his career.
4) Remi Garde (Unattached)
A highly-rated young coach, Remi Garde left Lyon in 2014 after doing some fantastic work to help the club become competitive again, building a team with a strong core of talented youngsters playing exciting, attack-minded football. The Frenchman had a brief spell as a player for Arsenal, and has been tipped as a possible Wenger replacement in the past.
5) Diego Simeone (Atletico Madrid)
One of the best managers in the world, Diego Simeone doesn’t seem an obvious fit at Arsenal due to his defensive style of play with Atletico Madrid, but that could be exactly what the Gunners need right now as they lack that solidity and winning mentality to go with their stylish football.
