Senior Manchester United players unhappy with life under ‘rigid’ Louis van Gaal

United stars complain about lack of freedom.

In a stunning report from The Times, it has been revealed that Manchester United‘s senior players are unhappy with life at the club under Louis van Gaal.

The Red Devils have not enjoyed a tremendous amount of success under the Dutchman so far, as they still continue to recover from the retirement of the legendary Sir Alex Ferguson in 2013.

Still, United were seen as making some progress last season as they got back into the top four, even if Van Gaal’s playing style was not to everybody’s liking.

As time goes on, however, it seems that some unnamed senior players do not enjoy the lack of attacking freedom that they were used to under Ferguson, with LVG’s methods too strict and methodical.

Van Gaal has divided opinion throughout his career, and is not known for taking too kindly to criticism of his methods, which have, by and large, led to huge amounts of success in different leagues around Europe.
