Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has announced the club’s plan to donate £1 per every ticket sold for this weekend’s game against Stoke City to Syrian refugees.

The Gunners have become the first Premier League side to offer money for the crisis, with Bayern Munich, AS Roma and Real Madrid leading the way across Europe with schemes to support those fleeing the war-torn nation.

Arsenal meet Stoke at the Emirates Stadium this weekend and usually fill most of their 60,260 seats in the ground, meaning a large amount going towards vulnerable people.
