Chelsea transfer news – January plans revealed already?
Chelsea could sign two players for a combined £71m when the transfer window re-opens in January, with Jose Mourinho looking to strengthen his struggling squad.
The Blues had a fairly unspectacular summer and are now paying for it with a slow start to the new season, though Roman Abramovich should give Mourinho the funds to improve things at the turn of the year.
According to reports, these are the players Chelsea are after:
1) John Stones (Everton)
Reports today suggest that there could be some positive Chelsea transfer news in the ongoing pursuit of Everton defender John Stones, who will only sign a new contract at Goodison Park if it includes a £38m release clause.

2) Isco (Real Madrid)
Valued at around £33m, Real Madrid playmaker Isco is supposedly available this January after being linked with Arsenal and Manchester City, though Chelsea also showed a strong interest in the classy Spaniard during the summer, and could do with a player of his quality to replace the off-form Cesc Fabregas.
