Manchester United star Victor Valdes has reacted to the news that he isn’t going to be in the club’s Champions League squad, reports the Daily Star.
Manager Louis van Gaal has left out the 33-year-old but chose David De Gea, who has also been the subject rumours about his future. One difference between the pair is that the younger goalkeeper hasn’t fallen out with the Dutchman though, with the coach actually coming out and saying he wants to sell the former Barcelona man.
This doesn’t seem to have knocked the Spain international, and he has revealed his desire to work his way back in to the first team fold.
The Red Devils have had Sergio Romero between the sticks in every match so far this season. However, now that the transfer window has closed, they could return the De Gea. Player of the season for the last two campaigns, the stopper will no longer be distracted by rumours linking him to Real Madrid.
