Crystal Palace‘s shock 2-1 victory over reigning Barclays Premier League champions Chelsea on Saturday afternoon has been the talk of social media.
The Eagles left Stamford Bridge with all three points thanks to second half goals from Bakary Sako and Joel Ward as they ruined Blues manager Jose Mourinho’s 100th home game in charge of the West London outfit.
The defeat in the London derby means they have already lost twice this season and are now eight points behind current leaders Manchester City after this afternoon’s events and the defence of their title has begun in the worst possible fashion.
However, credit must go out to Palace and manager Alan Pardew as they continue to show why they are such a threat especially away from home and have now picked up nine points from a possible 12 in their opening four games of the season.
