Arsenal transfer news – the ins and outs expected before the transfer window slams shut.
There could be some noteworthy Arsenal transfer news before the summer’s over, with rumours hotting up that there could be late ins and outs at the Emirates Stadium.
Although it has been a quiet summer for the Gunners, with only Petr Cech coming in so far, it looks like Arsene Wenger is targeting a late spree for three new boys, whilst also offloading a trio of unwanted players from his current squad.
The changes expected are as follows:
Out – Danny Welbeck
Linked with a shock move to Besiktas at points this summer, Danny Welbeck has clearly struggled to make an impact at Arsenal, raising questions about whether Arsene Wenger ever really wanted him at all, with an exit certainly possible in the next few days.
In – Karim Benzema (Real Madrid)
Strongly linked with Arsenal even after appearing to commit his future to Real Madrid, it is worth keeping an eye on the Karim Benzema situation as he remains the Gunners’ priority target up front.

Arsenal transfer news
Out – Mathieu Flamini
Linked with Galatasaray and other clubs, Mathieu Flamini is no longer a regular in Wenger’s squad and could be on his way out imminently.
In – Lars Bender (Bayer Leverkusen)
An ideal replacement for Flamini in defensive midfield, Bayer Leverkusen captain Lars Bender would be a big upgrade and someone who could compete with Francis Coquelin to be first choice in the middle.
Out – Joel Campbell
Unable to break into the Arsenal team and linked with several clubs, Joel Campbell’s departure seems almost a certainty before the end of the summer transfer window.
In – Julian Draxler (Schalke)
Coming in to replace departing attackers like Welbeck, Campbell and Podolski, Schalke starlet Julian Draxler is on Arsenal’s radar again, though they could face competition from Manchester United.
