5. Gunners to battle Red Devils for BVB star
Arsenal and Manchester United are set to go head-to-head over Borussia Dortmund’s Jakub Blaszczykowski with the winger allegedly eyeing the Westfalenstadion exit having failed to make an impression on new manager Thomas Tuchel, according to the Express.
Blaszczykowski is said to be keen on a new deal, but will assess offers if his situation in Germany doesn’t improve.
4. £16m defensive target blow
Paris Saint-Germain have moved ahead of Arsenal in the race to sign AS Monaco left-back Layvin Kurzawa after returning with a second offer of £16m, the Daily Express report.
The Ligue 1 giants are looking to replace Lucas Digne who recently joined AS Roma.
3. Russia striker closing in on Emirates move
The Gunners look to have beaten Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester United, Tottenham and Zenit St Petersburg to the signature of Dynamo Moscow striker Aleksandr Kokorin, sources have told the Telegraph.
2. Wenger to activate defensive midfielder’s buyout clause
Sevilla midfielder Grzegorz Krychowiak has been heavily linked with Arsenal over the past few weeks, and The Independent are now reporting that the Gunners are ready to activate his £21.2m release clause before the close of the summer window.
The deal could be completed this weekend, the Telegraph understand.
1. Hope on Benzema deal
Arsene Wenger has not given up hope on luring Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema to north London just yet, with reports from fichajes.net claiming that the French manager will make a last ditch attempt to prise him away from the Santiago Bernabeu.
Benzema’s recent tweet appeared to have ruled out a Madrid exit, but that doesn’t mean Arsenal can’t make one last offer.
