Liverpool are on alert after Lazio made transfer target Keita Balde Diao available for £10 million, reports Sportitalia [via talkSPORT].
The Reds are joined by Genoa and several Bundesliga sides in the race to sign the 20-year-old. Le Aquile don’t want to lose the Spaniard, but have acceded to his desire to move on. As such, they will accept any bid that reaches their asking price.
Last season, the forward played 23 times in Serie A, but 17 of those appearances came from the substitutes’ bench. It is the winger’s potential that has excited the clubs involved, with his dribbling and crossing ability of particular interest.

The Merseyside club have been very busy this summer, with no less than seven signings coming in to reinforce Brendan Rodgers’s first team. However, the Northern Irishman has claimed that there could be some departures from the club, meaning that there could also be some replacements coming in [Daily Star].
“It is natural at this stage of the season. There will be moves for some players,” said the 42-year-old.
“Every player is of the understanding and knows where he stands in the squad. The spirit is strong, it is a difficult situation, the market is still open and I’m sure there will be some movement.”
Danny Ings, James Milner, Joe Gomez, Adam Bogdan, Roberto Firmino, Nathaniel Clyne, and Christian Benteke have all arrived at Anfield over the last few months, but none are an out and out winger.
As such, Keita could be the man to finish off their transfer spending, especially as Raheem Sterling’s sale to Manchester City has left them a man down wide on the left.
