Manchester United and Tottenham are battling it out to sign Dynamo Moscow star Aleksandr Kokorin, reports talkSPORT.
The 24-year-old has a £13.5 million release clause, but with his contract ending next summer both teams could wait until then and sign him on free transfer. As such the Muscovite team will listen to offers now to avoid losing their player for nothing. Zenit St. Petersburg are also interested in the Russia international, who scored 10 goals in 39 appearances last season.
Both Premier League sides are short on firepower, and could make their moves for the striker in the next few days. The Red Devils are currently relying on Wayne Rooney and Javier Hernandez as their only senior players up front, which will have to change if they are going to be involved in the title race.

Meanwhile, Spurs are heavily reliant on 22-year-old Harry Kane. Even with the recent signature of Clinton N’Jie, Mauricio Pochettino will need further reinforcements if his side are going to challenge for Champions League qualification.
