Rooney to be replaced at Old Trafford after poor form?
Manchester United could be looking for replacements for underperforming striker Wayne Rooney as the summer transfer window draws to a close, according to reports.
The England international has been widely criticised for an anonymous display in Friday night’s 1-0 win over Aston Villa, and speculation suggests he may not be guaranteed a place in Louis van Gaal’s side for long.

1) Pedro (Barcelona)
Although United are haggling over his asking price, the club hope to sign Barcelona winger Pedro for around £17.8m before the end of the summer, with the prolific Spanish international an ideal player to add more of a goal threat to Van Gaal’s side.

Worth around £50m, United could also try to sign Bayern Munich star Thomas Muller, who can operate in a variety of roles, including as a centre-forward or ‘false 9’. The German international is said to be a priority target for the Reds and also for rivals Liverpool, and the club have been in constant contact about him all summer.
