Tottenham expect to complete the signing of West Brom forward Saido Berahino next week, according to the Sunday Mirror.
The 22-year-old Baggies star netted 20 goals last season and is a player who has played alongside White Hart Lane ace Harry Kane at England Under 21 level.
Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino has successfully offloaded flop Roberto Soldado, among a host of under-performing players to have left the North London side this summer, leaving space for a potential striker signing.
The Sunday Mirror claims that the deal to bring in Berahino will cost upwards of £20m, and that the young forward is believed to have agreed terms on a contract worth £100k a week.

Tottenham linked with massive £25m bid for explosive winger as Mauricio Pochettino looks to strengthen attack
Pochettino relied overly heavily on Harry Kane last season, and fortunately for the North London club, the England international delivered the goods with a superb 31-goal haul.
Kane has so far failed to net in Tottenham’s opening two Premier League games, and while he has looked lively, it is clear that the forward is in need of some support in the final third.
Clinton Njie has been signed from Olympique Lyonnais [via the club’s official website], although he alone might not be enough to help Spurs back into the Champions League.
Last term, Soldado and Emmanuel Adebayor bagged just three Premier League goals between them, and Pochettino would do well to bring in a quality striker signing before the transfer window slams shut.
