1) Pascal Cygan (Arsenal)

A terrible defender who has to go down as one of Arsene Wenger’s worst signings, Pascal Cygan was a member of the Arsenal Invincibles, though he did not feature often.

2) Alexander Buttner (Manchester United)

A left-back who just didn’t do enough defensively, Alexander Buttner quickly looked out of his depth as a Manchester United player and was eventually offloaded.

3) Francis Jeffers (Arsenal)

A title winner with Arsenal in 2001/02, Francis Jeffers must be one of the worst strikers in the Gunners’ history, and contributed a grand total of two goals to that campaign.

4) Diego Forlan (Manchester United)

Another striker who flopped at Premier League level, Diego Forlan won the 2002/03 title with United, but never looked like playing a key role for the side.

5) Asier Del Horno (Chelsea)

A strange signing, Asier Del Horno lasted only one season at Stamford Bridge before being replaced by the far superior Ashley Cole, but he did just enough to pick up a winners’ medal.

6) Juan Sebastian Veron (Manchester United)

One of the biggest and most expensive flops ever, Juan Sebastian Veron did little at United, but being in the team meant he got his hands on a winners’ medal in 2003.

7) Alan Smith (Manchester United)

Popular for his work-rate, Alan Smith clearly wasn’t a good enough player for United, but was fortunate to be around when they won the title in 2006/07, mostly as he watched on from the bench.

8) Shaun Wright-Phillips (Chelsea)

Useless at Chelsea after a big move from Manchester City, Shaun Wright-Phillips contributed almost nothing to the Blues’ 2005/06 title win.

9) Stefan Savic (Manchester City)

A player who has looked decent since leaving Manchester City, Stefan Savic was out of his depth during his short stay at the Etihad Stadium, looking like a liability whenever he played for the 2011/12 champions.

10) Jeremie Aliadiere (Arsenal)

Another Arsenal Invincible who doesn’t deserve the status, Jeremie Aliadiere made only two starts and didn’t score a single goal for the Gunners in 2003/04.
