1) He left home at the age of 12
Not initially into sports, Krychowiak was persuaded to get into football by his brother, so much so that he ended up leaving home at just 12 years of age to pursue a career as a footballer by joining a sports academy.

2) He moved to France when he was 15
Despite growing up in Poland, Krychowiak made the bold decision to move to France at the age of just 15, joining up with the Bordeaux academy and also going on to play in France for Nantes and Reims.
3) He played on with a broken rib
Another example of his incredible toughness, the 25-year-old just this week played in Sevilla’s thrilling Super Cup defeat to Barcelona, and carried on playing through the pain of a broken rib!
4) La Liga team of the season
Quite an achievement considering the players on the books at Real Madrid and Barcelona, Krychowiak’s superb performances in his first season at Sevilla last season saw him named in the La Liga team of the season for 2014/15.
5) Established at international level
An established star at international level, Krychowiak has 24 caps and one goal for the Polish national team, playing alongside big names like Robert Lewandowski.
