Both these line ups could make the top four!
After another busy summer transfer window at Manchester United, here’s a look at two realistic line ups the Red Devils could play this season, both of which look good enough to finish in the Premier League’s top four…
This first XI sees David de Gea remain in goal, though this is perhaps not guaranteed as Real Madrid are still likely to show an interest before the transfer deadline. Still, elsewhere the team looks very strong with some big names missing from defence, midfield and attack.
Central midfield is now especially strong, with almost every name in that centre trio fighting for their place or facing the axe from another quality option on the bench.

Secondly, United could field this other strong side, with many of the names in this line up likely to be competing for a starting spot week in, week out. Indeed, Sergio Romero, Ashley Young and Michael Carrick are among the big names that did start in the win over Tottenham, and they won’t want to give up their places.
This second string XI shows that even if United lose one or two players, they will still be in a good position, while further signings should see them set for a very promising season. Even if De Gea leaves, there is stil Victor Valdes as a third choice in goal, and he could comfortably fill in for Romero if needed.
