Lazio star Keita Balde Diao has handed in a transfer request amid interest from Arsenal and Liverpool, reports the Daily Express.
The 20-year-old was dropped for their Italian Super Cup match with Juventus on the weekend, and manager Stefano Pioli is thought to be happy to see the player depart. Balde reacted angrily to the situation, and has now handed in a transfer request according to the reports.
This will help the Premier League duo in their efforts to sign the forward. £10.6 million is thought to be enough to sign him, and could be a good deal for player with great promise. Last season the youngster managed just one goal in 23 Serie A games, but 17 of those appearances were from the bench.

Both Arsenal and Liverpool showed some weaknesses in their first matches of the season, meaning further signings could be enticing to the clubs. The Gunners lost 0-2 at home to West Ham, while the Merseyside outfit only beat Stoke thanks to a Philippe Coutinho wonder goal. Another forward option could be what they need to help break teams down during the campaign.
