Angel Di Maria‘s transfer to Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain from Manchester United appears to be on the brink of completion as images have surfaced of the winger undergoing a medical in Qatar, Mail Sport reports.
The 27-year-old initially arrived in Doha over the weekend and was scheduled to begin his medical on Monday, however the United club record signing was deemed too tired to do so following his long flight from Argentina to the Middle East and the tests had to be pushed back for 24 hours.
Once the medical is completed Di Maria is expected to put pen-to-paper on a four-year contract worth £170,00-a-week (after tax) after the French outfit agreed a £44.3million fee with the Red Devils a few days ago and the transfer should be announced before the weekend.
Di Maria’s spell in English football was mixed as he begun life in Manchester in great form as he scored twice in his first three games for the club, but his performance levels dipped towards Christmas and was eventually dropped by manager Louis van Gaal during the second half of the 2014-15 campaign.
