Manchester United boss DEMOTES Spanish goalkeeper to the U21 squad

Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has given the clearest indication yet that goalkeeper Victor Valdes has no future at the club, by moving the Spaniard’s kit to the U21’s dressing room.

The relationship between the former Barcelona duo has turned sour since the stopper was left out of the club’s pre-season squad for their tour of the United States earlier in the summer as van Gaal accused the 33-year-old of refusing to play for the reserves last season.

Valdes would then retaliate by posting an image via his official Twitter account with the word ‘respect’ in the caption, but it appears he is still set to depart Old Trafford this summer despite only signing for club during the January transfer window.

Reports in Mail Sport claim van Gaal’s decision to move Valdes’ kit has upset the Spanish contingent at the club, who feel the experienced keeper has been disrespected with the choice of action from the Dutchman.
