PSG have launched their opening bid for Man United winger Angel di Maria according to The Guardian.
The Ligue 1 side are willing to offer £28.5m for the 27-year-old Old Trafford star, less than half the £59.7m Man United paid Real Madrid for the attacker last summer.
It’s an offer that is sure to be given short shrift by Man United with Louis van Gaal no doubt looking to bring in funds to help balance the books after what has already proven an expensive summer transfer window.

Van Gaal has already brought in Memphis Depay, Matteo Darmian, Bastian Schweinsteiger, Morgan Schneiderlin and Sergio Romero in moves that have cost Man United around £80m.
Angel Di Maria initially impressed after his arrival in England, netting three goals in his opening five Premier League appearances, though the Argentine international’s form then nosedived.
The wiry wide-man arrived at Man United having helped Real Madrid to a Champions League triumph and played a key role in Argentina’s run to the 2014 World Cup final and as such the fee shelled out for Angel di Maria was not deemed excessive at the time.
