La Liga BBVA giants Barcelona have not received an offer for in-demand Spanish winger Pedro from Manchester United, according to reports.

It had been reported by various media outlets including Mirror Sport earlier in the week that the Red Devils had triggered the 28-year-old’s £22million release clause in his contract, however reports in Spanish publication AS claim an offer has not been put forward to the Catalan outfit just yet.

Pedro’s future at the Camp Nou has been called into question following a frustrating campaign last season in which he was forced to play second fiddle to the sensational attacking trio of Lionel Messi, Neymar and Luis Suarez, while the signing of Arda Turan from La Liga rivals Atletico Madrid earlier this summer could result in limited first team opportunities this season for the Spaniard.

Despite his lack of starts during the 2014-15 campaign, Pedro was still able to weigh in with a number of important goals as Barca clinched an historic treble consisting of the Spanish league title, Copa Del Rey and the Champions League.
