Tottenham are hot on the heels of three Bundesliga stars as Mauricio Pochettino looks to add to his White Hart Lane squad before the transfer window slams shut according to the Daily Telegraph.

Pochettino has offloaded a number of under-performing members of his Spurs squad this summer with the likes of Paulinho, Etienne Capoue, Benjamin Stambouli, Younes Kaboul and Lewis Holtby having left for pastures new.

The Daily Telegraph claims Tottenham are tracking Stuttgart forward Timo Werner and midfielder duo Christoph Kramer and Sven Bender from Bayer Leverkusen and Borussia Dortmund respectively.

Interest in a new striker isn’t entirely surprising given how little support youngster Harry Kane received from his fellow forwards in 2014/15.

Emmanuel Adebayor, Erik Lamela and Roberto Soldado scored just five Premier League goals between them, with Kane bagging 21 on his own, and teenage forward Werner would provide Pochettino a fresh option in the final third.

German international Kramer is perhaps best known as the player who was forced off during the 2014 World Cup final against Brazil with concussion.

Though the 24-year-old is registered to Bayer Leverkusen he has spent the past four seasons out on loan to Bochum and Borussia Mönchengladbach.

Sven Bender is another German international midfielder and a player who is by no means a regular at the Westfalenstadion.

The 26-year-old defensive midfielder made just 14 Bundesliga starts in 2014/15 and has subsequently seen his role in Joachim Low’s national team set-up suffer.
