Man United chief flies back to Europe to COMPLETE £60m double transfer deal

Old Trafford side look to sign Real Madrid and Barcelona stars.

Man United chief executive Ed Woodward is on his way back from his side’s pre-season tour of north America as he looks to complete deals to sign two more world-class talents according to the Guardian.

Woodward has already secured the services of four top talents but is clearly not done yet and as well as seeking to bring in two more additions he will also seek to tie-down Spanish keeper David De Gea to a new contract.

First up for Woodward will be a bid for Barcelona attacker Pedro, the Old Trafford side said to be readying an offer of £18m, with Louis van Gaal looking to strengthen an attack that has lost the services of Robin van Persie and Nani.

The 27-year-old Nou Camp star is an experienced campaigner who is keen on moving on and his tally of 98 goals includes one against Man United in the 2011 Champions League final.

Woodward will also continue the club’s pursuit of Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos, who has previously been linked with a £42m bid from the Premier League side (via the Daily Star), as Louis van Gaal seeks to strengthen his shaky defence.
