Serie A side make cheeky, and pointless, Emirates Stadium star bid.
Juventus are set to make a £27.8m bid for Arsenal playmaker Mesut Ozil according to Daily Express reports.
The 26-year-old German cost Arsenal a club record £42.5m and the offer from Serie A title holders Juventus is fairly insulting though it’s likely that any offer for the Gunners star would be rebuffed by manager Arsene Wenger.
Though it would be fair to say that Ozil’s debut campaign at the Emirates Stadium wasn’t spectacular, the former Real Madrid man has certainly got into gear over the past year.
Ozil’s displays since the turn of the year was pivotal to the run of great form that saw Arsenal secure a top four spot and an FA Cup triumph.
Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri has had a busy summer and his 2015/16 starting eleven will look a fair bit different from the side that not only clinched yet another Serie A title but also waltzed through to the Champions League final.
Andrea Pirlo has left for the MLS, Carlos Tevez and rejoined Boca Juniors and Arturo Vidal is set to join Bayern Munich.
