1) Edinson Cavani (Paris Saint-Germain)
Linked several times with a move to United, PSG star Edinson Cavani could be a good buy for the club this summer, though the Uruguayan has perhaps not convinced neutrals with some up-and-down performances since moving to Ligue 1, and he’d be expensive at around £40-50m.
2) Harry Kane (Tottenham)
Valued at £40m after a sensational breakthrough season with Tottenham last term, Harry Kane is another name being repeatedly linked with a move to Old Trafford this summer, and based on his prolific stats last term, he’d be excellent.
3) Alexandre Lacazette (Lyon)
One of the best young strikers in the world, Lyon’s Alexandre Lacazette had an excellent season in Ligue 1 last term and is sure to move to a bigger club, though the £35m-rated Frenchman is also wanted by Arsenal and Chelsea.
4) Gonzalo Higuain (Napoli)
Valued at a ridiculous £67m by Napolil, Gonzalo Higuain would be too expensive at that price, but a good option for United to consider if they can persuade the Italians to sell for less.
5) Karim Benzema (Real Madrid)
Finally, United are also being linked strongly with a move for Real Madrid forward Karim Benzema, who could cost as little as £17.8m this summer, according to some reports. For that price he’d be an absolute steal and he’d surely be a big hit in Manchester.
