It was Tigres’ final friendly before they head to South America for the first leg of their Copa Libertadores semi final against Brazilian giants Internacional next week.
Gignac scored the first goal of the game when he curled in from the edge of the area, before Rafael Sobis grabbed the second from the penalty spot.
It means Tigres will embark on their trip in good spirits and confident of becoming the first Mexican side to reach the final of the Copa Libertadores since Chivas in 2010.
Gignac only joined the club this summer, as the Mexicans beat West Ham to the signature of Ligue Un’s second highest goal scorer of last season.
