Chelsea’s new striker issues WARNING to Arsenal and Man United
The 27-year-old only joined the Blues last January for £23.3 million, which could rise to £26.8 million if certain clauses are met. However, were he to leave the club before next season it is unlikely that they will have to pay these extra fees. Despite spending so much on the Colombia international just a few months ago, manager Jose Mourinho is already keen to be rid of the player.
After failing to manage a single assist or goal in 13 appearances in the last campaign it is no surprise that the Portuguese wants to move him on. With teammates Willian and Eden Hazard both impressing as the club won both the Premier League and the Capital One Cup last time round, the former Fiorentina man could well have few chances to make his mark next season should he stay.
This has forced the top flight winners to enlist Mendes, who will look to use his contacts in the game sot sort out a deal. The super-agent is expected to offer the winger to Valencia on a loan deal with an option to buy, even though the Blues would prefer to sell now.
