Arsenal, Liverpool, and Manchester United are some of the biggest clubs to have got involved, making some great moves. However, which have been the best so far?

5) Dimitri Payet, Marseille, £10m+ [BBC]

One of the best players in Ligue 1 last season with 17 assists, and his departure to a mid-table Premier League side raises some serious questions over whether the French top flight is able to compete at the top table. For the Hammers he could be vital as they hope to deal with the extra games of the Europa League as well as improving domestically.

4) Gerard Deulofeu, Barcelona to Everton, £4.3m [BBC]

Back at Goodison after a season on loan at Sevilla, this move means that the Toffees have now signed every one of the loan players who fired them to fifth in Roberto Martinez’s first season in charge. They will be hoping that this will mean a return to the success of the campaign after struggling last time round. The Spaniard managed an assist every 157 minutes last season, showing the creativity that the Merseyside club were lacking.

3) Roberto Firmino, Hoffenheim to Liverpool, £29m [BBC]

Possibly the best signing made by Brendan Rodgers since the arrival of Philippe Coutinho. The 23-year-old managed ten goals and ten assists for his club and impressed at the Copa America with Brazil. Could he be the man to fire the Reds back in to the Champions League.

2) Memphis Depay, PSV Eindhoven to Manchester United, £25-30m [BBC]

Fired PSV to the Eredivisie title last time round with 21 goals from the wing, and shows remarkable similarities with a certain Cristiano Ronaldo. The 21-year-old could be that extra bit of quality and goal threat that the Red Devils will need to make an impact both in Europe and at home.

1) Petr Cech, Chelsea to Arsenal, £10m [BBC]

It is shocking that the Blues have allowed such a great player to move to one of their direct rivals, especially with the Gunners looking set to challenge them for the Premier League title. Cech could be exactly what the North Londoners need after having to rely on the error-prone David Ospina and Wojciech Szczesny last time round.
