Chelsea transfer news
Chelsea could be fine-tuning their attacking options in this summer’s transfer window as recent reports suggest as many as three big names could be heading out of Stamford Bridge imminently.
The Blues won the Premier League title comfortably in 2014/15, though it could be argued that they have a little bit more to do to improve the quality and depth of their attack, particularly after a disappointing campaign in the Champions League.
It seems manager Jose Mourinho could remedy that by offloading three big names and signing three new ones in their place, with these the players the Portuguese coach reportedly has in mind:
Out – Oscar
Strongly linked with a move to Juventus, it seems Chelsea could be ready to let Brazilian playmaker Oscar leave this summer if the right offer comes in.
In – Arda Turan
In his place could be Atletico Madrid attacking midfielder Arda Turan, who is keen to leave Spain and who could be available for around £30m – a bargain for the classy Turkish international also wanted by Manchester United.
Out – Loic Remy
Linked with a £15m move to West Ham United, Loic Remy is another attacking player likely to be leaving Chelsea this summer after a frustrating season as backup to Diego Costa.
In – Radamel Falcao
Arriving as the new understudy to Chelsea’s main man up front, Radamel Falcao should be joining on loan from AS Monaco despite performing so badly in his season-long stay with Manchester United last year.
Out – Mohamed Salah
A fine young player not given much of a chance, Mohamed Salah should be making a permanent move to Serie A after a successful loan with Fiorentina, though it looks like Inter Milan may pip them to his signature.
In – Antoine Griezmann
In an exciting £43m move, Chelsea could bring in another Atletico star in Antoine Griezmann, with the Frenchman able to play either out wide or up front after scoring a superb 25 goals last season.
