A look at this week’s ten biggest transfer stories ranked by their chances of coming true, from least to most…
10) Xherdan Shaqiri (Inter Milan to Liverpool)
Linked once again with a move to long-time admirers Liverpool, Xherdan Shaqiri only just joined Inter Milan in January and is surely not leaving the club already. Plus if Liverpool want him so much, why do they keep messing up the chance to snap him up? No chance this is happening.
Man Utd transfer news: £45m duo could sign next week plus HUGE David de Gea boost
9) Sergio Ramos (Real Madrid to Manchester United)
Despite strong talk that Manchester United want to sign Sergio Ramos, this seems fairly clearly an attempt by the player to earn himself a better contract at Real Madrid. Surely such a key player will end up staying, and he looks too expensive for the Red Devils anyway at £63m.
8) Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (Borussia Dortmund to Arsenal)
Despite Borussia Dortmund ruling out selling their pacey striker, Arsenal have been linked once again with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, in a move that does not seem to have much substance behind it.
7) Victor Moses (Chelsea to Tottenham)
Although this seems a very Tottenham-like move, surely Spurs can aim higher than this Chelsea flop, who was decent at best for Stoke City last season?
6) Ezequiel Garay (Zenit Saint Petersburg to Arsenal)
With rumours of a £13m bid, this doesn’t seem the most ridiculous story, though it’s worth noting that Ezequiel Garay is almost constantly being linked with Premier League clubs, with the moves never coming to fruition.
5) Paul Pogba (Juventus to Manchester City)
A rumour that seems to be growing in strength, Manchester City will surely have a battle on their hands to sign Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba this summer, though speculation is mounting that they are ready to pay big to beat Barcelona to the Frenchman’s signature.
4) Asmir Begovic (Stoke City to Chelsea)
Linked as a replacement for Petr Cech, this seems a good move by Chelsea and one that makes plenty of sense, though it remains to be seen if a player of Asmir Begovic’s quality would settle for being a backup player.
3) Mateo Kovacic (Inter Milan to Liverpool)
A move that has been on the cards for some time now, it looks as though Liverpool could be moving closer to completing an £18m deal to sign Inter Milan youngster Mateo Kovacic, who would be a much-needed signing in midfield.
2) Arturo Vidal (Juventus to Arsenal)
With a trusted Chilean journalist describing this as a done deal (the same guy who broke the Alexis Sanchez to Arsenal story last summer) it seems more than likely now that Juventus midfielder Arturo Vidal will be on his way to the Emirates Stadium after the Copa America, signing a five-year contract with the Gunners.
1) Morgan Schneiderlin (Southampton to Manchester United)
A move that has dragged on, but it looks now like Morgan Schneiderlin will snub Arsenal and complete a £25m move to Manchester United next week, with Southampton unable to keep their star player after his outstanding performances in 2014/15.
