Manchester United are reportedly growing increasingly confident that they could keep star player David de Gea this summer, despite interest from Real Madrid.
The Spanish giants seem to be struggling to meet United’s valuation for the player, and it has emerged that the Red Devils absolutely will not consider letting the 24-year-old leave unless their asking price is met.
With United not about to budge on the Spanish shot-stopper, they could be unveiling a very strong side for next season indeed, with Louis van Gaal also making progress on signing two more players in a £45m double deal…
1) Morgan Schneiderlin (Southampton)
For a fee of £25m, it is claimed that United will finalise the signing of Southampton midfielder and Arsenal target Morgan Schneiderlin next week, in what would be an absolutely ideal signing for the Red Devils in the middle of the park.
2) Jasper Cillessen (Ajax)
Secondly, United keeping De Gea will not stop them making a £20m bid to sign Ajax goalkeeper Jasper Cillessen, who has long been one of Va Gaal’s top targets after impressing for the Dutch national team.
