Liverpool are reportedly one of a number of clubs vying for the signature of Barcelona left-back Adriano, according to the player’s agent.

The Brazilian full-back has not been able to force his way past Jordi Alba in the battle to become the first choice left-back at the Camp Nou and is set to depart the club in the summer in a bid for regular football.
Express Sport say that Adriano is attracting interest from Serie A outfit Inter Milan as well as the Reds according to the player’s agent Paulo Affonso:
“Adriano is a well-known and well-rated player. People know him and know what he can bring to a team. For now, we are only talking with important teams and doing our work,” he added.
The Reds are also interested in Adriano’s team-mate Pedro, if reports in Mundo Deportivo are to be believed, and it appears that manager Brendan Rodgers is firmly focused on building a squad capable of challenging for Champions League qualification next season, with Pedro and Adriano sure to make fine additions to those that have already been brought in.
The Anfield outfit have been extremely busy in the transfer window so far as they have signed no less than five players and should complete a deal for a sixth early next week.
James Milner, Danny Ings and Adam Bodgan will all be officially unveiled as Liverpool players on July 1 after signing on free transfers [via Independent Sport].
Highly-rated England youth international Joe Gomez has put pen-to-paper on a long-term contract after signing from Charlton Athletic last weekend [via BBC Sport].
Meanwhile Brazilian international Roberto Firmino has snubbed a move to Manchester United in order to link-up with compatriot Philippe Coutinho on Merseyside next season and to win trophies [via Star Sport].
A deal for Southampton defender Nathaniel Clyne has reportedly been agreed [via Guardian Sport] and he is expected to complete his move at some point next week.
Rodgers is also thought to be still on the market for another centre-forward despite the arrival of Ings and has been linked with a moves for Christian Benteke and Carlos Bacca of Aston Villa and La Liga outfit Sevilla respectively [via Liverpool Echo].
Both strikers were in fine form for their respective clubs last season as Benteke scored against the Reds in the FA Cup semi-final at Wembley, while Bacca bagged a brace in the Europa League final last month.
With Daniel Sturridge set to be out of action until October at the earliest [via Independent Sport], it’s evident that a new striker will be needed to fill his boots, though a proven goalscorer such as Pedro from out wide could also be of tremendous value to this Liverpool team.
