Manchester United rumours
Manchester United have set their sights on a possible four more signings for the summer transfer window, with Louis van Gaal aiming for big names once again after his £150m spending spree last year.
Memphis Depay has already joined from PSV, and now defensive additions are a priority for the club, though there could still be more attacking players on their way in to Old Trafford as well.
According to latest reports, these are United’s four remaining targets for this transfer window, which includes a stunning £70m double raid on La Liga…
1) Sergio Ramos (Real Madrid)
One of the best defenders in the world on his day, Sergio Ramos is being linked with a £35m move to United from Real Madrid in what would be a hugely exciting coup for the club in a position they have urgently needed to strengthen for some time now.
2) Thomas Muller (Bayern Munich)
A deadly goal poacher who could be a great signing up front, Bayern Munich star Thomas Muller has also been linked with a move to Old Trafford, though the Bavarian giants are said to be understandably keen to keep hold of the German international.
3) Nicolas Otamendi (Valencia)
One of the best defenders in Europe last season, Valencia star Nicolas Otamendi has really impressed and is a top target for United this summer, also in a potential £35m deal. The Argentine could line up alongside Ramos in a terrific partnership next season.
4) Nicolas Gaitan (Benfica)
Finally, United are also in the hunt for Benfica winger Nicolas Gaitan, who is a long-term target of the club, though he is also said to be wanted by rivals Liverpool this summer.
