Arsenal and England midfielder Jack Wilshere has been fortunate enough to have played with some great players in his short career and he’s put together his ultimate starting XI.

Wilshere broke into the Gunners first-team in the 2010/11 season and picked up the PFA Young Player of the Year award following a brilliant campaign.
The 23-year-old, who has suffered with numerous injuries since, has chosen a team full of internationals that he’s had the honour to play alongside, via the Express.
GK) Joe Hart
The Manchester City stopper is now the undisputed number one for the national side despite fierce competition from Fraser Forster.
He and Wilshere could be international team-mates for many years to come and if reports in Mirror Sport are true then they could line-up alongside each other at club level in the near future.
RB) Bacary Sagna
Wilshere and Sagna were team-mates not too long ago, but the Frenchman joined City last summer on a free transfer and can barely get a run of games under his belt at the Etihad Stadium.
CB) John Terry
There can be no surprise that the Chelsea skipper makes Wilshere’s team as Terry has been one of the best defenders the Three Lions have had in the last decade or so and they could do with him in the team now.
CB) Laurent Koscielny
One of Wilshere’s current team-mates in Koscielny makes the ultimate XI and his inclusion is justified due to the amazing progression he has made since arriving at the club in 2010.
LB) Ashley Cole
Not many Arsenal supporters have fond memories of the Cole, but few can argue that he served the club well and was arguably the best left-back in the world between 2004 and 2012.
RM) Samir Nasri
Another that is unlikely to be receiving Christmas cards off Gunners supporters anytime soon. Nasri and Wilshere played together for one full season and the Frenchman was able to get into double figures for goals before being snapped up by Man City a year later.
CM) Steven Gerrard
If the departing Reds captain was a few years younger then a midfield two of him and Wilshere could have been successful for the Three Lions.
With the Gunners midfielder consistently on the treatment table over the last two years, it denied him a chance to play more regularly alongside the Liverpool legend.
CM) Cesc Fabregas
Fabregas was the captain of Arsenal when Wilshere broke into the team and it’s no secret of how much he looks up to the Spanish playmaker – despite the fact he now plays for London rivals Chelsea.
LM) Santi Cazorla
The Spanish international was reborn during the second half of last season in a deeper central-midfield role and was playing so well that Wilshere was shifted to a wide right role upon his return from injury.
ST) Alexis Sanchez
A long-term injury robbed Wilshere of the chance to link-up with the Chilean on more occasions last season, but it’s clear for all to see just how good Alexis is.
ST) Wayne Rooney
No surprise to see the England skipper in Wilshere’s XI as the two have linked up well on the few occasions they have played together for the national team.
