The 18 year old attacker will apparently cost an initial £5m with possible incremental increases leading to a total £10m fee for the England Under 19 international.
Roberts made 20 appearances for Fulham last term and is often used in a wide-attacking role but can also be used in a striking role, though is yet to score a senior goal for the Craven Cottage side.
A move for Roberts may well not only be a push to bring in a hot prospect but also a move to bring in more ‘homegrown’ talents with both James Milner and Micah Richards having left and Frank Lampard returning to MLS side New York City FC.
