Arsenal look ever more likely to complete the signing of Napoli striker Gonzalo Higuain this summer, with Jose Alberti insisting he is 90% sure the deal will go through.
The Argentine international is supposedly available for around £42m ahead of next season, with the Serie A side facing a real battle to keep their star players after missing out on a Champions League place.
According to the Metro, Alberti now feels Arsenal will be Higuain’s next destination, with the 27-year-old on Arsene Wenger’s radar again after previously snubbing the chance to move to the Emirates Stadium back in the summer of 2013.
Although Arsenal have supposedly failed with an opening bid of £30m, they have now been tipped to beat the likes of Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester United to his signature ahead of next season.
The Gunners could do with Higuain as an upgrade on players like Olivier Giroud and Danny Welbeck in attack.
