The 26-year-old has found himself out of the starting XI in Turin as the side has been impressive with Patrice Evra taking his usual place at left wing-back. Meanwhile Claudio Marchisio, Paul Pogba, and Arturo Vidal have been prefered in the middle of the park. A serious knee injury that kept him out for a large part of the season also contributed to the Ghana international playing just 10 times in the season.

This has led to the a group of sides, including the Gunners, looking in to the possibility of signing the former Udinese ace. With neither Nacho Monreal or Kieran Gibbs able to really nail down the left-back position at the Emirates, it could be that manager Arsene Wenger to fit in the role.

However, Asamoah could also feature in central midfield, possibly alongside Francis Coquelin. With the Frenchman looking set to play in defensive midfield for the foreseeable future, the North London side could do with a box to box style player to fit in alongside him.
