The young Brazilian winger, who can also play just behind the main striker, has not yet played a competitive game for the Gunners’ first-team since joining from Fluminense all the way back in 2011 as an exciting prospect for the future.
Work permit issues have seen Wellington go out on loan on numorous occasions for Arsenal, spending a lot of time in Spain with the likes of Levante, Murcia and most recently Almeria in La Liga.
The 22-year-old may now be ready to test himself as part of the main Arsenal squad for next season, with the Brazilian admitting that making it in north London is his priority for the time being, despite having offers from other English sides, according to reports in ESPN Brazil.
