Old Trafford side see White Hart Lane man as potential replacement for first choice keeper.
Tottenham goalkeeper Hugo Lloris’s Champions League ambitions have alerted Manchester United, according to the Daily Mirror.

The White Hart Lane custodian has reportedly spoken with manager Mauricio Pochettino about his desire to secure Champions League action and as Spurs failed to land a top-four berth, it’s an ambition that the North London side can not currently match.
The 28-year-old has been a big hit since leaving Lyon for Tottenham back in 2012 and chairman Daniel Levy may fear the loss of another star performer to the Old Trafford side, having seen the likes of Michael Carrick and Dimitar Berbatov make similar moves in the recent past.
Louis van Gaal may struggle to keep hold of current first choice keeper David De Gea, with The Mirror stating that the club are fighting a ‘losing battle’ to keep the Spaniard from the Bernabeu side’s clutches, and, as such, Lloris is said to be ‘top of the list’ of potential replacements.
Lloris has been one of Tottenham’s most consistent performers over the past two seasons and, though the club conceded more goals than any side in the top half of the table, it’s fair to say that they would have shipped in far more if not for the French international’s heroics.
The Mirror claim the ‘asking price’ for Lloris would be at least £25m and Levy is well known for driving a hard bargain when it comes to securing big fees for high-profile exits.
Tottenham banked £86m from the sale of Gareth Bale to Real Madrid (Via Daily Telegraph) and another £30m when Modric made the same move a year earlier (Via BBC). Man United would surely look to secure a big fee for De Gea if he were to leave for Real Madrid, and as such would have funds to make a competitive offer for Lloris.
