The Spanish international left-back started against Aston Villa in the 4-0 win at Wembley, but may now have played his final game for the Gunners after attracting interest from La Liga side Athletic Bilbao.
This will come as a big blow for Arsenal, who have made Monreal first choice at left-back this season after a string of fine performances to make that position his own against Kieran Gibbs.
As well as a good game in the final on Saturday, Monreal scored the crucial opening goal for Arsenal in their 2-1 quarter-final win over Manchester United at Old Trafford.
Still, according to Spanish source AS, the 29-year-old is keen on making the move back to his home country, having joined the north London giants from Malaga back in 2013.
