The side from central Mexico are now in the final after beating Pachuca 2-0 last night and drawing 2-2 on aggregate. They progressed by virtue of being the higher seed.

Ronaldinho didn’t play in the match after leaving the stadium before the end of the game in first leg. He had been replaced before half time after Queretaro had a man sent off.

Los Gallos Blancos will now face Santos Laguna in the two legged final. The first leg will be in Torreon on Thursday night, with the second leg next Sunday at Queretaro’s Estadio Corregidora.

If Queretaro can take the title it would be an incredible turnaround. With eight games to go in the regular season they were last in the table, but a new manager turned their fortunes around and they snuck into the post-season on the final day.
